Troubleshooting Integration Issues between GA4 and BigQuery
“Hey there! So, I’m trying to use the free version of GA4 and link it to BigQuery. My GCP IAM is set up as BigQuery Data Owner and BigQuery Job User. The problem is, I keep running into this error: [insert link here].
The error message doesn’t give me much to go on and I’m stumped. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
I’ve been thinking and wondering if the error could be connected to the VPC Network. If that’s the case, is there a way to integrate GA4 with BQ? Thanks for any help you can offer!”

That error you’re getting seems to be coming from the VPC Network, but don’t sweat it – there’s a fairly straightforward way to resolve it.
First, you’ll want to remove the VPC Network. After you’ve done that, go ahead and connect GA4 with BigQuery. With that connection established, you can now re-enable the VPC Network.
Next step is enabling the access manager API. This helps manage access permissions.
Last but not least, make sure to set the access level for the GA4 service account. This defines what data the service account can access.
