Hey there! So, I’ve been playing around with Google Analytics on my site, messing around with the different dashboards and stuff. They’re a cool way to see the who/what/where of site visitors.

I had this thought – how sick would it be to stick those Google Analytics dashboards right on my own website? It’s all hosted at mycompany.com.au. It’ll be a smooth ride for my visitors and they can check out the analytics data while still hanging out on my website.

I’ve been combing through the Google Analytics know-how and other online stuff, but man, I need a roadmap! I know about the Google Analytics API and how you mean to do some fancy stuff with other Google products like their maps. But, I’ve got no clue if you can do that same kind of magic with Google Analytics dashboards.

What I’m aiming at is this page on mycompany.com.au where folks can pull up the Google Analytics dashboards and see how my website is doing. I reckon it’d be pretty stellar to show off that data with my own style and my website’s look.

If you know anything about this, I’m all ears. Pointers, wisdom, tips, anything. If it’s possible to stick Google Analytics dashboards onto a custom website, shoot me the how-to’s, any must-haves, and the step-by-step for making it work.

Thanks a million in advance for throwing me a lifeline here!

Hey! Unfortunately, Google doesn’t let you use an iframe to display their analytics page directly on your website. But, not all hope is lost! You’ve got another option using BigQuery. Set up Google Analytics events to flow into BigQuery and then draw that data into your website to make your own bespoke analytics page – something that’s quite in tune with your style and the look of your website. It’s like having your own customized Google Analytics dashboard. Hope that helps!

While Google Analytics offers great insight into your website’s performance, it’s important to note that you can’t directly embed Google Analytics dashboards onto your own custom website. However, there is a workaround. By using the Google Analytics Embedded API, you can obtain the data you need from your Google Analytics account, but you’ll have to design the requests to mirror your Google Analytics reports. Also, this only works with Universal Analytics (UA), not Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Alternatively, you can use the Google Analytics API to fetch the data and leverage Google Charts to display it in user-friendly graphs on your website. Remember, these solutions require custom coding and some technical expertise. There isn’t a simple plug-and-play solution for this as of now. Rest assured, the result can be quite impressive with a polished, personalized data display.
