The issues you’re experiencing may be related to either the configuration settings in Google Tag Manager (GTM) or with the way Google Analytics is receiving and interpreting the data. First, ensure that your tags are firing correctly in GTM. Having events showing up ‘top events’ but not in the ‘debug ribbon’ suggests that tag firing may not be occurring as expected. Also, if you’ve recently implemented a new site or altered your website significantly, ensure that your tags aren’t tied to old or broken links on your website. As for the conversions not appearing in your main events list, ensure that your conversion tracking tags are firing properly in the ‘tag assistant’ of Google Analytics. If errors persist, I would suggest contacting Google support, who can provide assistance with more complex troubleshooting.

He uses this clever thing called custom dataLayer push. It’s a neat way to crack the GA4 problem we were trying to figure out. Give it a look-see!

Member30 October 2022 at 8:29 am in reply to: Analyzing the Issue with Item Prices in Google Analytics 4 DebugThis issue might be due to how Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is interpreting the pricing data. GA4 represents currency metrics in micros, where $1 is represented as 1,000,000 (1 million). So, if you send 287.2 as the price, GA4 interprets it as $287.2 million, or 2872000000, because it treats the input as already being in micros. To correctly send price data, you need to convert your prices into micros correctly before sending, by multiplying by 1 million. So, $287.2 should be sent as 287200000.
Regarding the zero recorded revenue, it might be because of the price conversion issue. Once prices are sent correctly in micros, GA4 should be able to calculate and record the revenue correctly.
