You’ll need to set up a custom event for the mailto link click in Google Tag Manager and then mark that event as a conversion in Google Analytics 4. Similarly, in Google Ads, you can set up a conversion action for the same.

So I’ve been trying to switch my website from the old UA Google Tag (gtag.js) to GA4. I’ve managed to create a new GA4 property and hooked it up to the UA Tag. Here’s what I’m pondering though: will I still be able to nab all the traffic using the same old gtag.js code snippet even past that July 1, 2023 deadline?
