So, I’ve been tinkering with GA4, especially the remove_from_cart event. You know how you can pass in the items array? Well, I’m not sure if I should be putting the item I just pulled out or if I should put everything that’s left in there. Trust me, I’ve rummaged through their docs and it’s still cryptic. What’s even worse? I’ve tried both methods, and now I’m more confused. What do you reckon?

In case of the remove_from_cart event in GA4, the item you put in the array should be the one you just took out of the cart, not the stuff that’s still in there. Think of it like a ‘lost items’ list for your cart, where you’re noting down what’s been removed. This happens to be the official take from Google too. Check their support link, it’s got a lot of pointers on stuff like this.

For the remove_from_cart event in GA4, you should only include the item that was removed from the cart in the items array, not what’s left. I know it’s a bit confusing, but I hope that clears it up for you!
