I’m trying to link a visitor who hits our site to Klaviyo.

    Here’s the current scenario:

    1. A visitor finds our website via a source like Twitter or Instagram
    2. They hit a call a action and end up in the VS code marketplace to grab our extension
    3. Once the extension is downloaded, they sign up with an email. This info then goes into Klaviyo.

Now, I want to whip up a funnel that’ll show me which visitors who registered for our extension originally came from which source [Twitter/Instagram, etc.]
The problem is, I can’t link the users in GA4 to Klaviyo because I don’t have a unique ID for them.

You need to track the visitors’ source before they download the extension and sign up with their email. Assign each visitor a unique ID that will follow them through each step, from visiting your website to downloading the extension. This ID should then be included in the data that gets sent to Klaviyo so you can track where your users are coming from.

You want to create a funnel to trace the origin of visitors who end up downloading your extension and signing up with their email. The roadblock you’re encountering is that you don’t have a unique ID for users to link their data from GA4 to Klaviyo. This makes it difficult to trace back their source (whether it be Twitter, Instagram, etc.) at the time they visited your site and downloaded the extension.
