  • Optimal GA4 Configuration: Single or Dual Data Streams for Landing Page and Web App?

Yo, we’ve got this funky landing page where folks can learn all about our rad product, right? And we’ve got this nifty web app as a subdomain, not to mention our cool apps for iOS and Android. So here’s the million-dollar question: Do we need to split our web streams into two separate tracks in GA4 – one for the landing page and another one for the web app? Or is it cooler if we use the same setup for both? Bear in mind they’re technically marching to the beat of two very different drummers. Peace out.

Yo, it’s totally possible to have one unified GA4 setup for both your landing page and web app. But considering they’re both doing their own thing, splitting your web streams into two tracks might give you a clearer picture of what’s happening where. In the end, it’s all about what gives you the best insights for your biz. Peace.

Yes, it would be beneficial for your case to create two separate data streams in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for your landing page and web app, despite them living on the same domain. This is because these two entities serve different purposes and likely have different user flows and engagement metrics. Breaking them out into separate streams would allow for more accurate data analysis and understanding of how users interact with each component. With this setup, you can monitor and optimize each part for better performance effectively.
